PDC is dedicated to promoting Democratic candidates and messages in Petersburg and the surrounding areas.
We are actively looking for new members to help further our mission. Meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month. Dues are just $20 per year. Continue below to find out more about our organization and how you can join and make a difference!
PDC is Petersburg's local branch of the Virginia Democratic Party.
The current leadership of the committee is as follows:
Chair - Janell Sinclair
Secretary - Joyce Vinson
Treasurer - Joyce Proctor
Every two years the committee holds a reorganization meeting to elect new leadership. The next reorganization meeting will be in January of 2024.
Committee meetings are on the last Thursday of every month at 6pm and are open to the public.

Each year PDC engages in the following activities to promote Democratic party candidates and goals:
Nominate Democratic candidates for office
Encourage voter registration and access to voting
Fundraising for Virginia Democrats
Election day booths with candidate information
Organize drivers to get people to the polls
